The Good Life
In Rome, they call them "I Rimastoni" (the ones who stayed). Writer Niccolò Ammaniti interviews them and recounts three protagonists of the only emigration driven by dreams of liberation and love, and not by hunger.
The story of three Italians who left for India and never returned: Baba Shiva, a Hindu priest who fled from the Veneto to avoid military service; Baba Giorgio, a sadhu and guardian of a small temple; Eris, adoptive parent of eleven street children and responsible for building a village in the Himalayas.
